Colorado's Mountain Wildlife.

High above the tree line on the slopes of some of Colorado's highest mountains is the home of the Mountain Goat.  Kids are born in June and are capable of following their Mothers anywhere within a few hours of their birth.  Nannys and kids often congregate in small groups, allowing the playful kids to socialise with other kids and adults.

Bighorn Sheep are also to be found.

Yellow-bellied Marmot live in excavated burrows below the rocky surface which provide protection from predators and the harsh winter conditions.
