The Canadian Rockies

The Canadian  Rockies are amongst my favourite places in the world to visit. The scenery is just so magnificent - spectacular mountains, enormous glaciers and icefields, colourful clear lakes, rivers and waterfalls, plus, in the autumn, the beautiful fall colours. This section contains  pages for each of the National Parks within the Canadian Rockies, Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho, plus a page devoted to the Icefields Parkway - the most beautiful highway in the world, and slideshow galleries.  Enjoy!

Late September is the time of the Elk rut.
This magnificent Bull Elk shows off his impressive rack of antlers.
